Whenever I'm feeling uninspired but itching to take pictures of something, I head over to my parent's house. With the bright walls and collections, teacups, bookshelves and willing subjects, it always manages to get the shutter clicking.
(It's a bit hard to see clearly, but this is my mom's luna moth tattoo.)
I can't believe how long it's been since I last posted here. Last time I wrote I was thinking of all the summer things I wanted to do and now here we are, almost done with September! Now all I can think about is how pretty the leaves look and when I'll be able to go apple picking. And bake pie. Mmmm, apple pie.
For now I have no baked goods, so I'll just share a few of the photos I've snapped lately.
In preparation for moving it seems like, lately, my life has become an endless whirlwind of painting, cleaning and more painting. Which accounts for the lack of posts around these parts. However I did manage to find enough free time recently to go see a movie called Easy Virtue. I found it very charming and enjoyable, but beyond that the costumes were amazing. I am always a sucker for 1920's fashion and this movie had me wishing so hard that people still dressed with such glamour these days. In any case, it got me to thinking about some of my other fashion inspirations from years gone by.
The end of painting is in sight now, I can feel it. In the meantime, here are some pictures.
